Schools & Libraries Discount Commitments by
State, 1998-2001
Now beginning its fifth year, the E-Rate provides discounts on
telecommunications services, Internet access and internal connections
to libraries and schools. In the first four years, $8.25 billion
in E-Rate discounts have brought the Internet and new information
technologies to tens of thousands of schools and libraries.
